But nothing matters anymore…
That’s not true. It’s just hard right now.
I am thrilled to be able to continue Alexander Smith’s story with Twisted Publishing an imprint of Haverhill House. The second installment finds Alexander dealing with the fallout of vampires having discovered common purpose and lost it. They’ve formed a church around an enigmatic preacher and a mysterious benefactor. Now entire families are being slaughtered and Ana, the emotional core of Alexander’s life is missing. The allies he had are either dead, ragged, or uncooperative. Adding to the hopelessness is the return of someone from deep in Alexander’s past and nothing good ever comes from his past.
And I am looking forward to writing the third book in the trilogy. I can’t say much about it yet, but there will be zombie alligators and ghouls operating a body disposal business.
But…
It’s really weird creating content right now. Hard. I’m used to writing in the cracks of my days. That means if I come home from work and it happens to be quiet, I sit down and write. If I wake up too early, then I sit down and write. If I get stuck on my commute, then I sit down and write. During a pandemic, tho?
No idea.
As much as I’m okay with spending time at home, I’m never home alone, my schedule—such that it is—becomes fluid too often. It gets awkward trying to be quiet and create while the family swirls around. Still, it happens. It has to, I have no choice. The stories are still there, in my head. I just need to get them on paper. Finding a new rhythm after nearly a decade of life’s chaos defining when and where I write is just a new challenge.
In the meantime, pre-order ALL THE DEAD MEN on Bookshop, B&N, or Amazon!
