Just read: Monster Earth, part 3 of 3

A really fun and entertaining, shared world anthology. It’s built around the premise that monsters, not nuclear weapons, defined the countries of the twentieth century. If I have any critique, it’s that some of the writing seemed more like a translation than produced first in English. It’s a small thing, but it occasionally took me out of the story when I stumbled across an awkward phrase. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the inclusion of indigenous myths and other cultures takes on kaiju. There’s a sequel too, so I’m looking forward to getting into that as soon as I can.
